Our Approach

Working on equity isn’t just an individual endeavor - it involves transformation at four different levels that drive system change: the personal level, team level, organizational level and our community as a whole.

Our approach is participatory, responsive, inclusive, and relational. We facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience of many different sources – community, organizational, research, lived experience – to support your individual and organizational work to interrupt oppression.

Our approach is one in which there is learning not only from the content we provide but in the process in which we create a relationship and work together. There is as much value in learning from how we work together as there is in the “deliverables” we produce.

Our commitment is to ensure what we produce together has an impact on those most affected by inequities, that it leads to action, and that the insight created is used to further others’ work in the community who also seek equity.

Finally, our center is community accountability. We are driven by what makes an impact on equity … we won’t tell you something because you pay us to, or because it’s the latest trend, or because you want to hear it. We seek to respond to you as a client because our work – aligned with your work – is committed to the end goal of equity.
