Coaching and co-thinking from Roxanne and Ashima supports leaders and teams in achieving the results that are important to the long term success of their organization in engaging authentically in equity work. The focus of these co-thinking conversations is always on capacity-building and applicability to action.

In this type of engagement, Roxanne and Ashima’s role is to draw out leaders’ and teams’ wisdom and expertise through inquiry, curiosity and reflective questions. We also have used other activities such as self-observation exercises, self-directed reading, and practicing the application of tools.

Because of the nature of equity and anti-racism work, and the recognition of how power, privilege and prejudice intersect in this type of organizational development, the client’s physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual state is also important as a source of knowledge.

Teams and leaders may also ask Roxanne and Ashima to switch to a “consultant” or “mentoring” role and provide some content knowledge as it relates to equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism and how they intersect with organizational and leader effectiveness.
