Leadership & Management Development
Ashima and Roxanne have worked as leaders in both non -profit and government organizations before they started consulting. Their lived experience as team leaders and senior executives is the basis for their work in leadership and management development.
Ashima and Roxanne understand that having leaders willing to create interpersonal and organizational space for both learning about and acting for equitable outcomes is fundamental to an organization’s capacity for equity work.
Using participatory facilitation approaches and building upon the strengths of those they work with, Ashima and Roxanne have a number of modalities that support leadership and management development (such as coaching, group coaching, communities of practice and workshops).
Some specific learning objectives that our work in the past has focused on includes:
- Understanding the differences (and connections) between leadership and management
- Identifying their leadership values and connecting those values to their organizational vision and mission
- Practicing using equity tools for team development and conflict resolution that reflects inclusion and equity, and brings clarity to complex issues
- Identifying opportunities to actively integrate equity into organizational functions
